Spring is here

There are just some cute pictures we took at my moms the other day of all the kids in their sunglasses that my mom got them for easter, it was so dang cute! The kids were loving playing outside in the awesome weather!

Papa's little helper

My dad finally got to plant a garden this year, he hasn't really had a place to do it, but he finally found a spot to do a small garden. He was nice enough to let Kaden come and help. Kaden was so excited to go help his Papa do something in the yard and the nice weather. My dad was great to let Kaden get in the way, I mean "help." His favorite part was planting the seeds, he thought he was such a big boy! He also tried to insist on using the big shovel like papa did, that was until he realized how heavy it was and he went back to the little one. It was so fun to watch Kaden help my dad, he loves being with papa, especially outside!

Lets go fly a kite!

The other day at Walmart, Kaden spotted an Ironman Kite. He is obsessed with Ironman lately, he even says thats what his name is when someone asks. Anyway so I bought the kite for him and we went to Nanas and Papas. Papa came home and saw the kite and decided he wanted to give it a try. There wasn't much wind but he worked with what he had. Kaden was thrilled and had a great time. I had to include this hillarious picture of Derek trying to fly the free "second kite" that was included in the package. LOL the kite was like 4 in big!! Don't ask me what they expect you to do with that. Anyway Derek thought he would give it a try! Needless to say it didn't fly!

Happy Anniversary to us!

This last weekend was our 6th anniversary! I can't believe how fast time goes. It was simple but nice. Derek's sister watched the kids for us and we went and spent the evening in Salt Lake. We went to Lonestar for dinner, and then spent the night in a hotel. It was so nice to just sit in silence with just the two of us. I love my kids but I love my quiet time too! :) The night seemed to fly by though, and it was over before we knew it. It was great while it lasted though. I am so grateful to be married to such a great guy that is so willing to take care of me now that I can't do much, and he is such a great daddy. I love him and I am so greatful for everything he does and is.

I'm a big kid now!

It was time to make room for the new baby, so Kaden got kicked out of the crib/toddler bed, and we got him a new one. He got a racecar bed and he was so excited for it. He knew it was coming because we kept trying to use it as a bribe, but he finally got it! I couldn't find any car bedding so I decided to make it. It killed me but I think it turned out ok. He was so excited and couldn't stop rolling around and jumping on his new bed. I'm hoping it helps with him wanting to stay in his own bed at night instead of ending up in ours!! Wouldn't that be great.
