Trick or Treat

Kaden and Chloe got their first experience at Trick or Treating. Kaden was really shy and hesitant at first but after the second time of him knocking on the door and some stanger handing him candy, he was hooked. He ran to the door said his trick or treat before the door even opened and as soon as it did, he walked right in and took some candy and was ready to move on. If mom and dad got too slow or stopped to try and fix his costume, we heard "more candy, more candy" Chloe of course just stared at everyone and stayed comfortable with me holding her. She did enjoy trying to eat all of Kadens candy. She loved the wrappers and tried to get them open. She got a hold of a sucker and was in heaven. They of course made the cutest Pebbles and Bam Bam. Kaden loved his club! Derek taught him to say BAM BAM as he hit the ground with the club. He walked around and started hitting everything with it so we had to take it away for a while. I have to tell you though about parts of Kadens costume, I could not find a club anywhere I had been looking all week, so as I was walking through the craft section at Walmart, the floral foam jumped out at me. I couldn't believe it there was a cone shaped one and a flat circle one and a dome shaped one and put together made the perfect club shape so I just covered it in fabric. Oh and another thing I looked everywhere for to finish off his costume was the bone. I couldn't find one anywhere, so I was leaving to go home and just make one out of paper when I saw Petsmart!!! It worked perfect.

The costumes didn't fit quite as well when they had no clothes on. I made them big so they would fit over their sweaters and warm clothes. But I had to get pictures with them half naked!

Chloe found her sucker, and Kaden wanted his candy opened too. Brinlee got into hers just fine and Landon was just smiling cute for the picture.

Just to fill you in!

Thought I would try to think of something to tell you all about us and what is going on in our lives. The kids are just getting bigger and funner. I laugh everyday at them, in a good way of course! Chloe is starting to get really clingy to me. Since I've been home so much she has become a real mama's girl. It is going to be really hard to go back to work. Yesterday when I came in the door from being gone all day, she looked at me and opened her mouth as wide as it goes and let out a big yell and started swinging her arms in excitement. It made me so happy to know that someone loves me so much! :) She is getting so close to crawling it is crazy. She likes to get in a push up position, she gets up on her hands and then pushes herself up on her tippy toes, its so funny.
Kaden is becoming quite a handful, he has started nursery and has now of course picked up some very bad habbits. He is starting to hit and kick Chloe a lot more and take toys from her and yells "mine!" But he is just too cute to get to upset at because he will then immediately walk up to her and say "sawee dayee" (sorry Chloe) and give her a kiss. Kaden loves to put on shoes, his, mine, daddys it doesn't matter and he will tell you to look at him only about 50 times in a row. Then he dances all over the room. His favorite song now is Head Shoulders Knees and Toes! He has learned to do it pretty darn good and he is so proud of himself. I will have to record it and try to post it on here.
As for me, I am just trying to organize our wards Super Saturday. It is a lot more work than I thought and I am having a few challenges with one of the girls on my commitee but I am really trying to work through it the best I can. I am really excited though I think it is going to be lots of fun and it has helped me meet new people. Well I better get to bed I have an early start and I'm sure the kids will be up at least 2 or 3 times again tonight.

Go Utes!!

Well we really don't have a lot going on with us as you can tell I haven't added anything to this for a long time. Derek is getting really excited about football season. He already has the kids dressed up and cheering for Utah! I took a really cute picture of them during the game today.

Kaden loves the games already. He jumps up and cheers and claps and screams. He get excited every time dad does. It is so fun to watch. He is learning so much, and talking a lot. You can't understand a lot of it but it is sure fun watching him try! He learned the head shoulders knees and toes song and is so proud of himself and loves to show off. I laughed so hard today when I told Derek to come here and he looked at Derek and said "comere" while he did the motion with his finger to come here! Chloe is more just intriged with the TV screen. She is getting so big so fast. She is sitting up really good now. She still falls over once in a while when she tries to look up at you, and she loves to look at you. I put her in the swing while I was trying to cook dinner and it didn't really work because she kept doing this...

She learned how to clap today, it was so cute and she was so proud of herself. She is trying so hard to crawl, she gets around really well though rolling around and scooting on her back and tries really hard to scoot on her stomach but gets really frustrated and screams if she can't do what she is trying to do. As for me, well you all know I am looking for a job, now that is not fun. I haven't had to do this for a long time. I am enjoying the time at home with the kids though. I got a new calling and I am very nervouse about it. I got called to be the enrichment night leader!! Ya that means I am in charge of all of them and I have to plan them and come up with ideas!! Yikes. I hope the commitee that I call has a lot of ideas cause I know I won't be able to do it by myself. We will see how that goes. Well it's late so I will go for now.

Helpful Kaden

I finally decided to make our own blog. I thought it would be a nice way of keeping everyone, especially Mike and Hollie updated on our oh so exciting lives. Although not much goes on with us it will be fun to tell everyone when something does happen and share pictures.
I thought I would share with all of you how helpful Kaden is getting with Chloe, he has learned how to "bring" her to mommy! He grabs her ankles and drags her across the floor, and they both just laugh out loud. Here is a picture of him bringing her to me so I can change her diaper.
