So Observant

This is kinda cute, it just shows how much kids really watch us. There is no sound but it is still cute.

In case you are wondering that is deodorant.

S*#T... I mean Shrek!

Thought I would share this cute little video we have of Kaden learning how to pronounce his R's and K's, obviously he didn't do such a great job, but it sure is cute. This is what we hear at least twice a day when he wants to watch Shrek! It caught me by surprise the first time he said it, the movie was on the floor and he looked down at it and excitedly yelled Shrek! but of course in his own little way. I didn't see the video at first so I was a little shocked until I saw what he was looking at.

Happy Birthday Chloe!

I can't believe it, my little baby girl is one. This year went so fast, and kids grow up way too fast. We had Chloes first birthday party on Sunday, and everyone came, it was quite fun. Unfortunately Chloe got pretty sick that morning so she was pretty out of it for most of the party, but she pulled out of it enough to enjoy her presents and cake and put on a happy face for a short time. Thats Chloes she is always so happy and outgoing, just like her dad. She is finally starting to take some steps, but she isn't too interested in it she just loves to crawl. She is in no hurry to walk she will do it when she wants too, typical girl. She loved her cake, she dove right in and got it everywhere, when she finally had enough she let us know that she was done and wasn't feeling so happy anymore but it made a very cute picture. Kaden was very cute with Chloe for her birthday, he was so excited for her when she opened a present, and he kept saying all day "Happy birthday Doey, Happy Birthday to you!" I love watching my kids grow up and learn new things, it is amazing to me and so much fun. Chloe has this new thing where she has learned to nodd her head when you ask her a question. So her answer is yes to everything. She also loves to talk on the phone and mimics sounds that she hears, like "hello" when she has the phone she knows what to do with it. Time to go I need to nurse my sick baby.

Fun in the Snow

This is Kadens first real time playing in the snow. He had so much fun running from the snow, and then he had to make a snowman, or "noman" as Kaden calls it. After the snowman was built he wanted to throw snowballs at him. He thought that was pretty funny. After Chloes nap she wanted to join him but she pretty much just sat there and looked at the amazing cold white stuff. Just wanted to share a few pictures.

The Holidays!

Wow it has been a busy few months, I can't believe it is already January. Well Christmas was lots of fun. Kaden and Chloe both had a blast opening presents. Chloe didn't really know what was going on but she still did a great job ripping into the packages and she loved the surprises inside. Kaden wanted to play with everything, he even got excited about the clothes. The first present he opened was a pair of pants and when he saw them he said excitedly "oh! pants!" We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Dereks Mom and family and they loved having the kids there. Then we went to My mom and dads house for Christmas dinner and they got to open more presents, they were so excited they just couldn't believe there was more.

Just 4 days after Christmas we got to have a birthday party for Kaden. He was so thrilled! More presents! He still didn't dive into his cake but at least this year he ate some of it. He was more excited about the candles.

He got a toy box from Aunt Chelsi and Uncle Kacey and all the kids had fun with that one.

Well to update a little on the family, I am working at two jobs, I work at the front desk at the Clearfield Aquatic Center, and in the production department for a company that builds and sells wireless routers. I really like both jobs but wish I could be home more. Derek still works for the same old company but is in search of a new and better experience. He has an interview with a really great opportunity on Tuesday, I hope everything goes well, then maybe I can be home more! Kaden is talking and learning more everyday, I can't believe how big he looks now. He is getting into movies now, his favorite and only one he will sit all the way through is "Cars" He also loves "Incredibles" or as he calls it "Inbobadus" but will only watch it for like 10 min and then ask for cars. Chloe is moving around like crazy, she doesn't really have an intrest in walking though but is already trying to reapeat words that you say and she mimics sounds really well. Her favorite is "HI" Well Kaden is asking for food so I guess it is dinner time.

Trick or Treat

Kaden and Chloe got their first experience at Trick or Treating. Kaden was really shy and hesitant at first but after the second time of him knocking on the door and some stanger handing him candy, he was hooked. He ran to the door said his trick or treat before the door even opened and as soon as it did, he walked right in and took some candy and was ready to move on. If mom and dad got too slow or stopped to try and fix his costume, we heard "more candy, more candy" Chloe of course just stared at everyone and stayed comfortable with me holding her. She did enjoy trying to eat all of Kadens candy. She loved the wrappers and tried to get them open. She got a hold of a sucker and was in heaven. They of course made the cutest Pebbles and Bam Bam. Kaden loved his club! Derek taught him to say BAM BAM as he hit the ground with the club. He walked around and started hitting everything with it so we had to take it away for a while. I have to tell you though about parts of Kadens costume, I could not find a club anywhere I had been looking all week, so as I was walking through the craft section at Walmart, the floral foam jumped out at me. I couldn't believe it there was a cone shaped one and a flat circle one and a dome shaped one and put together made the perfect club shape so I just covered it in fabric. Oh and another thing I looked everywhere for to finish off his costume was the bone. I couldn't find one anywhere, so I was leaving to go home and just make one out of paper when I saw Petsmart!!! It worked perfect.

The costumes didn't fit quite as well when they had no clothes on. I made them big so they would fit over their sweaters and warm clothes. But I had to get pictures with them half naked!

Chloe found her sucker, and Kaden wanted his candy opened too. Brinlee got into hers just fine and Landon was just smiling cute for the picture.
